Concepts of leadership and management Essay

Describe how the concepts of leading and watchfulness differ from each other. In what areas do they carrefour? Explain how the goals of management and leadership may sometimes overlap. As a nurse leader, do you believe you mickle expand your act upon to create form by taking advantage of this overlap? Explain your answer.Management includes organization, planning, staffing, directing, and controlling. Management must optimize patient care and be fiscally responsible. Leaders may not have an official portion of authority, but may have the proponent through their ability to influence others. leading focus on interpersonal relationships, and may be known as mentors, coaches, advocates, or role models (Grand Canyon University, 2015). Both roles lead to be able to influence through their motivation, morals, and values. Both need to be tedious thinkers. They need to need to have trusty conflict resolution skills and cope with three-fold priorities.One way to expand influen ce as a leader is to do the right thing and doing things right. As a nurse leader it is important to fulfill critical thinking skills, active hearing skills, and good coping skills. These skills are inherent in the mettlesome stress high paced environments in the acute settings.
